The Megan Boken Award - Saint Louis University Volleyball

The SLU Women’s Volleyball team has traditionally given out a Player's Award at the end of each season. The award, voted on by the players, goes to the team member who best represents the SLU volleyball program. This award has been re-named in Megan’s honor.

This special award shows how much Megan was cherished by her teammates and will always be a reminder of the remarkable player and friend that Megan was.

BE INSPIRED: The Megan Boken Award.

"The Megan Boken Award is awarded to the volleyball student-athlete who embodies the Billiken, which represents 'things as they ought to be.' A generous, hard-working and genuine role model, Megan Boken inspired others to be not only the best student-athlete they could be, but also the best person they could be. Her fun loving attitude, contagious laugh, servant leadership and humble demeanor personifies Saint Louis University and the Department of Athletics.  A fierce competitor on the court, a dedicated student in the classroom and a welcoming teammate and friend; BE INSPIRED."

The winner of the first Megan Boken Award is Carly Marcum, who was Megan's teammate at SLU for two years.
